Rate Freeze for Senior Citizens and Permanently Disabled

UTILITY RELIEF PROGRAMS

The Mayor and Council of the Township of Edison have instituted a frozen rate program for users of the Edison Water Utility for seniors and permanently disabled residents.

The frozen senior Edison Water Utility rate is available to Edison seniors or disabled owners, who are notifying us of becoming of age or disabled.  Proof of age could be provided by just applying for a senior card at the Edison Township Senior Center (732-248-7345) or by bringing, emailing, faxing or mailing an acceptable proof of age to the Tax Office no later than March 1 of the calendar year.  Acceptable proof(s) of age shall include but not be limited to a Township identification card, valid driver’s license, birth certificate, passport or County identification card, as determined by the Director of Finance.   The frozen water rate only applies to residents serviced by the Edison Water Utility.

Utility Relief Requirements:
  • Be 65 of age or older
  • Be named as owner of the property
  • Get a valid Edison Senior Citizen card or provide proof of age as detailed above
Please verify that your Edison Water Utility bills reflect the SENIOR rate.
